Fun Spanish Word of the Day

Many a late night has been spent sitting in my jammies, suffering bleary-eyed giggle-fits, because a woman whom I have never met or even spoken with, finds words like "pelicula" (the Spanish word for "movie") wildly amusing.

And, so, it is in celebration of PDawg’s amusement with the Spanish language that we bring you our very first installment of: Fun Spanish Word of the Day:

Papalote - (pa-pa-low-teh) - kite.

And, because Pepita (PDawg) also finds sheer comedy in making any and every Spanish word small – however inappropriate – I give you, a small kite:

Papalotito (pa-pa-low-tee-toe).

Use it. Enjoy it. Randomly point to the sky and proclaim, "It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a papalotito!"
